Since the very first parade Germany has been a major participant in this great event. It is my sincere hope that once again we can count on your participation and that you'll agree to be a host hood once again.

I'm as angry and just as saddened as everyone but let's not leave the cavern with our tails between our legs or take the cancellation of Uru sitting down. Let's go out with a big bang showing GameTap just what they've given up on. From what I've been told....many have canceled their accounts with GameTap....To those who have....please come back with the visitors pass so you can participate....

I will need at least two people to help organize and coordinate your hood. Anyone who would like to help me in that way can PM me here or on the MOUL forum....


So please join us and help make this event bigger and better than it's been in the past. Cyan will attend to say their goodbyes and it's also a wonderful way to meet once more to say our goodbyes to all our friends around the world.

Soweit ich weiß haben bereits viele ihr GameTap-Abo gekündigt...an alle, die das bereits getan haben...bitte kommt mit dem Gastzugang zurück, so dass ihr dabei sein könnt...

Ich bräuchte mindestens zwei Leute, die mir bei der Organisation und Koordination für eure Gemeinde helfen. Wer mir helfen möchte, schreibt mir bitte hier oder im MOUL-Forum eine PM...


Also macht bitte mit und lasst uns diesen Event noch größer und besser machen als er bereits in der Vergangenheit war. Cyan möchte sich verabschieden, und es ist auch eine großartige Möglichkeit uns von all unseren Freunden rund um die Welt zu verabschieden.

Ich habe mich mal mit SuperGram in Verbindung gesetzt um unsere Teilnahme an der St. Patrick's Parade zu koordinieren.

Ich hoffe das war o.k., ansonsten können wir gerne auch ne Umfrage machen falls jemand anderes organisieren möchte :mrgreen:

Friday March 14th 2008
Beginning at 6pm EDT
Grand Marshal to be announced

Parade will march this year, through 6 selected host neighborhoods, beginning with the German Uru Hood ending in the St. Pat’s Parade Hood in the Community Room. All Host Hoods are encouraged to invite the remaining hoods to march along with them. All hoods marching will be announced over TeamSpeak and are encouraged to select a Host Hood of choice and ask to march along with them.

• Several Channels will be set up on TeamSpeak:
• Each Host hood may set up a special, private hood channel and can communicate with their members there.
• A St. Patrick’s Parade Chat channel has been set up for the general public.
• A St. Patrick’s Parade Music channel will be set up.
• A private St. Patrick’s Parade Committee channel for Committee communication has been set up.



Host Hoods In Order of Parade March:

1. German Uru Hood Coordinator: hamsta
2. The Meeting Place Coordinator: Ivanova
3. Guild of Greeters Coordinator: Daryn (Aderyn)
4. UruObsession Coordinator: T’layeh
5. REBEL Coordinator: Unicorn

1. Parade begins at 6pm EDT. NULP members, the D’ni Color Guard, Spectators and Guest Hoods should get there at least a half hour to an hour early to set up and be lined up at the start point by the time the Grand Marshal link’s in. This is important because the hood will be made private once the parade begins and is in progress. Guests will not be able to get to the hood and members are requested on their honor, not to link back until the parade has reached the end point in the hood. If you crash, you can go to the St. Pat’s Parade Hood or a hood of your choice where you can continue to follow the parade on TeamSpeak and party while you wait.
• The hood coordinator will assign a volunteer member to be in the nexus to make the hood private after the Grand Marshal links in before the parade begins. It would be advisable that this member be a spectator and should be given enough time to return to the hood and take his/her place. The hood can be made once again public when the parade has reached the finish mark. This procedure should be done in all hoods. THE REASON FOR THIS TO ELIMINATE LINK IN FREEZE WHILE THE PARADE IS IN PROGRESS……….
• When the parade reached the finish point there will be a 5 minute delay to allow enough time for the Press people Photographers and the Guard to move to the next hood before the Grand Marshal moves on to the next Host Hood which should be set up and in place by the time he links in. I ask that, (other then those listed above) you please remain in the hood and do not link to the next hood, so not to over populate the next Host Hood or cause link crashes for the Grand Marshal with so many linking at the same time. Once the parade has reached the end point, you can remain in your home hood, visit other hoods or come to the St. Pat’s Parade Hood. Hood hopping is encouraged.
• All Host Hoods should send Hood Invites to the Grand Marshal and Party.
o Note: Following a brief chat with GreyDragon the only confirmed Cyanists to attend is GreyDragon and possibly RAWA. I will also invite the ResEng’s to march with the Grand Marshal.

2. The Guard will be near the link-in spot prepared to escort Rand and Party up the right staircase to take their place in front. (If possible at least 2 Guardsmen should be assigned to each hood) The Guard will fall in place behind the Grand Marshal and Party. The Grand Marshal will then lead the parade through the hood along the chosen path as shown on the attached map.
 The march will begin by going through the community room from the left side, going around the platform in front of the pedestal, up the stairs on the opposite side exiting the room.

3. The parade concludes by going up the right staircase and ends at the top of the left staircase near the back door of the book room. This procedure will follow through all Host Hoods.
 The Guard, having finished the march in their assigned hood will then link to the St. Pat’s Parade Hood and take their place on either side of the platform by the pedestal in the community room. The Guard leader will escort the Grand Marshal to the platform.

4. The final destination of the parade will be the St. Pat’s Parade Hood. Following link-in and line up by the Grand Marshal, they will proceed up the right staircase to the community room platform by the pedestal, escorted by the Honor Guard.
Everyone in the Reception Hood is asked to please not go to the community room until the Grand Marshal and party has reached the pedestal and keeps his path clear. THE REASON FOR THIS IS TO NOT CAUSE THE GRAND MARSHAL AND PARTY UNDUE LAG WHILE ON THEIR WAY TO THE COMMUNITY ROOM……Once they have reached the platform, everyone is encouraged to go to the community room and meet the Cyanists or spread out through the hood in various places…..The party now begins. Have fun.

Music and sound will be supplied through TeamSpeak. BrettM will play March Music during the parade and I hope to have a male and female Commentator in the room to announce during the parade. DJ’s are asked not to play their music during the parade. BrettM will also play music during the party all through the day and night on TeamSpeak.

Updates to the Parade Instructions will follow as they develop…

Next scheduled meeting will be this Saturday February 23rd at 2pm EST in the UruTapestry Hood. Please try to make the meeting. We will be setting up and testing TeamSpeak.

Als SuperGram das hier postete, dachte ich auch, das sollte man mal übersetzen. Aber es war schon tief in der Nacht und Schlafen sinnvoller. Morgens las ich dann die Ankündigung, und da ich nicht wusste, ob Du vielleicht schon 70% fertig hast, Hamsta, wollt ich nicht dazwischenfunken. Gegen Feierabend kam mir dann die Idee, auszuprobieren, was wohl eine automatische Übersetzung zustandebrächte; allerdings gab es dermaßen Kauderwelsch, dass es besser in den Spaß-Thread passte. Man versteht es so ja eher noch weniger als im englischen Original.

Hoffe, Dich damit nicht in Deinem Elan gebremst zu haben. Oder, Hamsta?

Die Übersetzung ist schon fertig, da ich aber bezüglich des Ablaufs der im Text beschrieben steht noch 1-2 offene Fragen habe, möchte ich diese erst vom Orgateam beantwortet haben, bevor ich einen Text poste den ihr dann durchlest und danach Fragen habt die ich nicht beantworten kann.

Ich hab den obigen Post mit der Ankündigung einer Übersetzung geschrieben, da ich es, wie im Zitat von mir in Mucols Post schon steht, nicht für sinnvoll halte, wenn ein Text von mehreren gleichzeitig und vor allem unabhängig von einander übersetzt wird. Wenn ihr es nicht erwarten könnt, dürft ihr natürlich gerne SuperGrams Post übersetzen :-P Ihr dürft euch übrigens auch gerne bei mir melden, wenn ihr weitere konstruktive Organisationsaufgaben übernehmen wollt.

Ja gerne. Wenn Du Unterstützung für Proben bei den Nulpen gebrauchen kannst, mach ich mit.
Ich würd' auch gerne die Parade durch die Nulp-Motorhaube... äh Gemeinde filmen, d.h. a) selbst aufnehmen und b) vielleicht noch ein paar andere Leute gewinnen, auch aufzunehmen, damit man die Parade von verschiedenen Standorten sieht und die Kameraleute nicht Rand Miller umrennen müssen, um Sicht von vorne auf den Marsch zu bekommen. Und c) würd ich das Ganze zum Schluss auch schneiden, d.h. ein kleines Video draus machen.
Worin ich allerdings garnicht gut bin: Passende Musik dazu auszusuchen. Aber da BrettM ohnehin welche spielt, könnte man ihn fragen.

Wie auch immer, ich bin jedenfalls heute abend beim Treffen um 20:00 MEZ in der UruTapestry-Gemeinde dabei.
Forscher haben herausgefunden, sind dann aber wieder hineingegangen.

BildNext committee meeting is scheduled for this Saturday March 1st at 2pm EST UruTapestry Hood. Please try to make the meeting as we only have 2 weeks left before the event and still need alot to accomplish.

We still need more people to take video of the event. So far we have tachzusmm of the German hood and Stellaflora to take video of the event. What we'd like is to have at least one videographer in each hosting hood. tachzusmm is heading up the photography group and following the event will ask each person who took video to send a copy to him and he
will put them all together into one complete video. Still shot photographers are also encouraged to join the committee. Each of the cameramen will be placed in key positions during the event and will be able to move around during the march. Freelance persons are asked not to enter those areas or interfere with the marchers. You can take photo's if you like from the spectators areas. Only official Press and Photography persons will be permitted in areas other than the spectators designated spots. I must apologize but it's important to decrease lag for those marching...I hope you will all understand.

The Cavern Today will officially be covering the parade and the Commentators Shaeri and Alhon will be in a press booth announcing and commentating throughout. They will voice over the music and give play by play coverage. You will need to be connected to TeamSpeak to hear them along with the music.

Brettm will be supplying the march music featuring the New York City Police Department and the New York City Fire Department Emerald Society Pipe and Drum Band's music. I've purchased the albums and sent the music to Brettm. I think you're all going to like the music this year. Following the parade Brettm will be playing party music all through the night.

A St. Pat's Reception hood has been set up and everyone is encouraged to stay there and party. Food and Refreshments will be provided. I'm going to need a volunteer to host and cater that hood for the party. So anyone interested in hosting and catering please come to the meeting or PM me on MOUL fourm. All hoods are encouraged to party in their own hoods listen to Brettm's music or provide their own during the party. Hood hopping is encouraged so that we may all be given an opportunity to say our farewell's to our friends and neighbors.

So come one, come all and enjoy. This may or may not be the final St. Pat's Parade and Party but let's make it one of the best.

I’ve added a new bit of pageantry to this year’s parade. With the closing of MOUL I felt it would be a nice touch to pay tribute to all those countries that were able to support Uru. So as a tribute to them, at the end point of the march in the St. Pat’s Parade Reception Hood, we will play the National Anthems of each country. Out of respect, everyone is asked not to voice chat and to only us PM when texting. The run-through of the anthems shouldn’t take too long and I’m sure you all will appreciate it. Shaeri and Alhon will be in the sound booth softly commentating on the anthems. Shaeri will voice each anthem in the native language and Alhon will translate into English. You will need to be on TeamSpeak to hear and the link is on the top of this page.

4th ANNUAL D'NI ST. PATRICK'S PARADE AND PARTY BEING HELD FRIDAY MARCH 14TH BEGINNING AT 6PM EDT


Not much time left before the event so get out there and practice. It's harder than many may think when there's a large crowd in the hood.

Tomorrow...Saturday May 8th at 2pm in the UruTapestry hood.....we will be having a dress rehearsal for the parade with marching music. Everyone is invited to attend...the more the merrier. You'll need TeamSpeak installed. I've already posted the link but for those who don't want to scroll back on the thread you can get it free at http://goteamspeak.com We will be using the UruTapestry TeamSpeak server and you can Quick Connect by using UruTapestry.us If you want to register to the server, click on Connect and not Quick Connect and in the second box type the IP 72.232.227.5:8767 type in your user name and check the box below that says Register. It's a good idea for those who don't have TS to get that done prior to the parade in an effort to eliminate some problem solving on the day of the event. So if you are unable to get to the rehearsal, please try to come in during the week and get that done. You will not be able to hear the march music or the announcers if you aren't logged into the UruTapestry TeamSpeak server. Our Technical Advisor Anthony will be available to help anyone who has trouble with getting TS to work for them.

This year I'm happy to announce that GreyDragon will be GrandMarshal and ResEng T. Appling will be Aide to the Grand Marshal. Unfortunately Rand is away on vacation and neither GreyDragon nor myself has gotten a response to our email's to him. However, when he gets back and if he decides that he wants to march this year. We will give him the title of Honored Dignitary CEO of CyanWorlds. I still have no idea if any of the other Cyanists will attend and if they do, if they'll march or just mingle. That's still up in the air.
